Azerbaijan organises media tour to new military hospital in liberated Kalbajar PHOTO
On the occasion of the professional holiday of medical workers, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry organized a trip of media representatives to the military hospital recently commissioned in the territory of the Kalbajar region.
According to Azertag, the representatives of media structures familiarized themselves with the conditions created in the military hospital and talked to the team.
Colonel of medical service Huseyn Aliyev informed that Kalbajar military hospital occupies 3.6 hectares and currently has 180 beds. In combat conditions, it is possible to increase the number of beds up to 300.
Equipped with modern fully digital medical devices and equipment based on artificial intelligence, the military hospital includes a polyclinic, the first hospital unit that consists of therapeutic, surgical, anaesthesia and intensive care units, the second hospital unit that includes infectious and skin diseases units, headquarters building as well as a permanent medical oxygen station, a laundry, a boiler house, a checkpoint and a canteen.
In the outpatient department, there are specialized offices of ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, cardiologist, dentist, neurologist, psychiatrist, physiotherapist, etc. The emergency room has all the conditions for providing primary medical care.
"Our emergency room is equipped to provide all of the primary care that we need for our incoming patients. We have monitors and ventilators. The conditions at our military hospital allow us to easily perform any medical procedure," said medical captain Ramiz Khanmammadov.
The hospital has two operating rooms. All conditions have been created in the treatment wings to provide high-quality medical care to the servicemen, including diagnostics and treatment. The laboratory department meets the highest standards. Here it is possible to conduct clinical, biochemical and microbiological analyses using modern methods of laboratory examination.
The Kalbajar Military Hospital is also equipped with a biological purification unit, a backup generator, UPS for operating units, centralized water supply, heating and other utilities.
According to Medical Service Captain Urfan Mehdizada, the improvement of living conditions at posts and in military units has recently led to a sharp decrease and generally disappearance of many skin diseases among the personnel. The opening of such a modern military hospital in the territories liberated from occupation is a source of joy and pride.
In addition, the military hospital's fleet of vehicles includes reanimobiles, ambulances for off-road evacuations, and vehicles for providing medical care to soldiers in the field. Landscaping work has also been done around the military hospital.
