Azerbaijan organises regular football matches for mine victims AFFA, ANAMA sign memorandum

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Azerbaijan Football Federation (AFFA) and the Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) was signed at the Baku Olympic Stadium on April 3.

According to the memorandum, football matches for mine victims (amputees) will be regularly organized and held, Caliber.az reports.

These are the Azerbaijani citizens who have lost limbs as a result of being hit by Armenian mines.

In addition, there are plans for these players to take part in international tournaments in the future.

As a result of Armenian aggression and the long-term occupation of parts of Azerbaijani territory, Azerbaijan is one of the most mine-littered states in the world.
