Azerbaijan participates in Asian Conference on Disaster Reduction in Tokyo PHOTO

Azerbaijan is taking part in the Asian Conference on Disaster Reduction 2025 (ACDR2025), currently being held in Tokyo.

According to Caliber.Az, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Japan confirmed the country’s participation on X.

"On December 17, 2025, the Asian Conference on Disaster Reduction 2025 (ACDR2025) officially started in Tokyo. Azerbaijani is headed by Major General Niyazi Zamanov, Head of Main Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan," statement reads.

The conference, running from December 17 to 19, is themed “Forging Resilience Together: Toward a Sustainable Society Prepared for Mega-Disasters. Delegates from across Asia are gathering to discuss strategies to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen regional resilience against natural hazards.
