Azerbaijan plans TIR parks near border checkpoints

The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan is planning to build modern terminals and TIR parks near the country’s border crossing points in the future.

According to local media, this was announced by Vasif Qurbanov, a representative of the Committee, during the “Customs–Business 2025: Dialogue and Trust” forum.

“One of our future projects is the construction of terminals and TIR parks in the direction of border checkpoints. These TIR parks will offer various services and provide other facilities. The use of an electronic queue system is also planned,” Qurbanov said.

He added that the project is expected to be implemented in a short period of time once it is officially approved and the necessary funding is allocated.
