Azerbaijan presents ASAN Service model at UN Conference on SDG 16
Azerbaijan has showcased its ASAN Service model at the United Nations Conference focused on Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16).
Speaking at the conference, Ülvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations, said the ASAN Service model supports transparency and accountability in public service delivery, improves citizen satisfaction and institutional efficiency, and contributes to the development of strong institutions and an inclusive society, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The conference, held under the theme Driving Transformation and Coordinated Action for Sustainable Development, was also attended by Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Tofig Musayev.
The event brought together senior international officials, including the UN Deputy Secretary-General and the President of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, alongside representatives of state institutions from various countries and academic experts.
During the visit, meetings were also held with Italy’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Kenya’s Minister of Public Service, Human Capital Development and Special Programmes.
In these discussions, participants received a detailed presentation on the ASAN Service experience, while also exploring potential areas for future cooperation.
