Azerbaijan Press Council urges media not to share unofficial information On anti-terrorist measures in Garabagh
Local anti-terrorist measures launched in the Garabagh region of Azerbaijan to restore constitutional order are in the spotlight of the country's media.
Azerbaijani journalists mainly disseminate official information, Report informs, citing an appeal from the Press Council.
However, footage allegedly related to anti-terrorist measures is being disseminated on some social networks and opinions are being expressed. Such cases have been observed before, especially during the 44-day Second Garabagh War.
The Azerbaijan Press Council appeals to the media outlets, individuals, and independent journalists who have taken upon the obligation to inform society and take into account the sensitivity of the situation. Not disseminating or sharing footage or unofficial information is the biggest commitment to journalistic principles at this period.
