Azerbaijan re-elected to OIC cyber incident response centres board
The Cyber Incident Response Centre (CERT.gov.az) of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Security has been re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Cyber Emergency Response Team (OIC-CERT) for another four years.
The decision was made during the 11th General Assembly of OIC-CERT held in Muscat, Oman, where reports on the activities carried out by the Secretariat and member states in accordance with the 2023-2024 action plan were presented, Caliber.Az reports.
The assembly also discussed pressing issues and welcomed new members.
OIC-CERT was established to enhance the security of the global cyberspace and to develop the capabilities of CERT centres in Islamic countries in the field of cybersecurity on an international scale. The organisation comprises 66 members from 29 countries.
Azerbaijan has been represented on the Board of Directors by the Cyber Incident Response Centre as a full member for the past eight years.
