Azerbaijan, Rwanda explore new areas of cooperation PHOTO
Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and President of Rwanda Paul Kagame have discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries in Kigali.
Leyla Aliyeva conveyed greetings from President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Rwandan leader, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The meeting focused on the potential areas of cooperation across various sectors, with a special emphasis on collaboration through the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, which is led by Azerbaijan's First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.
Earlier, President Aliyev held a meeting with President Kagame. President Kagame touched upon Rwanda's collaboration with Azerbaijan within the Commonwealth framework. President Aliyev emphasized Azerbaijan's financial support to small island nations through the Commonwealth, as well as the country's use of satellite technology to create a database on the climate change challenges these nations face. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan's commitment to practical and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The two leaders also discussed the further strengthening of bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Rwanda. President Kagame expressed interest in Azerbaijan's "ASAN Service" model, and both leaders explored the possibility of implementing this system in Rwanda. President Aliyev provided an in-depth explanation of the ASAN and DOST services, highlighting their positive reception among citizens.
