Azerbaijan's ambassador, Slovenian officials honour Khojaly victims in Maribor PHOTO
At the Memorial Park Complex "Dobrava" in Maribor (Slovenia), the victims of the Khojaly genocide were honoured, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Slovenia Rovshan Sadigbayli said on X.
"Together with members of the Azerbaijani parliament, the head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE PA, Gaya Mammadov, and Sevinj Fataliyeva, we laid a wreath at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Khojaly massacre – a crime committed by Armenian forces in 1992 against the civilian population of Azerbaijan," he wrote, Caliber.Az reports.
The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the members of the interparliamentary friendship group with Azerbaijan in the National Assembly of Slovenia, representatives of the government, the Slovenian-Azerbaijani Friendship Society, the Slovenian War Veterans Association, and the Mufti's Office of the Islamic Community of Slovenia, who joined the commemoration ceremony.
