Azerbaijan’s ASAN service expands to Colombia, strengthening global ties PHOTO
The State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ASAN service) has said that Azerbaijan’s model of ASAN service is actively being used abroad, with agreements signed with 25 countries for its implementation.
During the World Government Summits, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations of Azerbaijan and the relevant agency of Colombia, ASAN Service told Caliber.Az.
The MoU focuses on cooperation in the provision of public services.
The MoU outlines the introduction of the ASAN service experience in Colombia, as well as the organisation of internships for Colombian public servants at ASAN service centres and the exchange of best practices in public service delivery between the two parties.
Thus, the ASAN service model, which represents Azerbaijan's intellectual brand in public service delivery, will be implemented in the Americas for the first time, following its success in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
“ASAN service” centre under the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan #685 dated July 13, 2012. “ASAN service” centres are the bodies to ensure the realisation of the services to be rendered by the state entities in a coordinated manner. “ASAN service” centres are designed to form a new approach towards ensuring the citizens’ satisfaction in the functioning of the state servants in relation to the population and to enrich the quality of relations between state servants and citizens. The functioning of the centres is based on the principles of operativeness, transparency, ethical behaviour, responsibility and comfort.
