Azerbaijan's Ecology Ministry monitors fire impact in Khatai district
Spokesman for the Azerbaijani State Environmental Security Service Gafar Aghayev has announced that the staff of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources is conducting on-site monitoring of a fire that occurred in the Khatai district of Baku.
“The specialists are measuring the level of air pollution by using specialized equipment due to the fire,” he said, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Several vehicles in the facility's yard were destroyed in the fire, which reportedly affected approximately 5-6 acres of the "Yurd F" LLC paint workshop.
A facility burst into flames near S. Ahmadov Street in the Khatai district. The representatives of the State Fire Control Service, the Special Risky Rescue Service, and the Baku Regional Centre of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, were quickly deployed to the scene.
The fire at the paint production workshop has been localized, preventing its spread to surrounding areas. Traffic restrictions have been implemented for vehicles travelling from 8 November Avenue towards the affected street. Police officers have also been stationed at the scene to maintain security and enforce safety measures.
