Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry congratulates Türkiye on National Sovereignty and Children’s Day
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has extended heartfelt congratulations to the Republic of Türkiye and its people on the occasion of April 23 – National Sovereignty and Children’s Day.
The congratulatory message was shared on the Ministry’s official account on the social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
“On the 105th anniversary of the inauguration of the Grand National Assembly of our brotherly Türkiye, we sincerely congratulate our fraternal country and its people on the occasion of April 23 – National Sovereignty and Children’s Day,” the statement reads.

The Ministry described the occasion as a “shining manifestation of the Republic of Türkiye’s commitment to the principles of sovereignty, national will, and the value placed on children as the guarantors of our future.”
The statement concluded with warm wishes for Türkiye’s continued development and prosperity, while honouring the memory of the founder of the Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
April 23 holds special significance in Türkiye as it marks the establishment of the Grand National Assembly in 1920 and symbolises the nation’s dedication to democratic values and its future generations.
