Azerbaijan's growing strength sparks concern, state committee chairman says
Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Affairs with Religious Associations, underscored the significance of enhancing state-religious relations in the country.
Speaking at the conference titled "State-Religious Relations: In the Context of Geopolitical Realities and Global Challenges" in Nakhchivan, Mammadov emphasized that the current geopolitical landscape requires a thorough examination of the challenges confronting Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
He pointed out that Azerbaijan’s recent historical achievements have raised concerns among numerous political circles. “The campaigns against Azerbaijan leading up to COP29, one of the world’s most prestigious events, serve as a clear indication of this,” Mammadov remarked. Despite facing external pressure and defamatory efforts, Azerbaijan successfully hosted COP29 to the highest standards, he noted.
Further emphasizing the importance of understanding global challenges, the Committee Chairman stated, “Today, Azerbaijan is stronger than ever in its history. We are standing at the threshold of a new era. Therefore, it is crucial to factor in global challenges and the evolving geopolitical landscape when analyzing our successes and assessing existing risks.”
