Azerbaijan's national parks to host Open Doors Day PHOTO

An Open Doors Day will be held in Azerbaijan's national parks on Sunday, May 22.

Arzu Babayeva, a representative of the Biological Diversity Protection Service of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources shared the due information with Caliber.Az, adding that May 22 marks World Day for Biological Diversity.

"On Sunday, all the national parks of the republic will be open for free entry to visitors from 09:00 to 18:00. The purpose of the event is to show the great potential of national parks, promotion of parks, their popularization, and instill respect for wildlife. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan encourages everyone to participate in this event," Babayeva said.

It should be mentioned that Zangazur National Park named after Academician Hasan Aliyev (Ordubad district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic), Aghgyol National Park, Shirvan National Park, Girkan National Park, Altiagaj National Park, Absheron National Park, Shakhdag National Park, Goygol National Park, Samur-Yalama National Park and Gizilagaj National Park function in Azerbaijan.
