Azerbaijan’s State Tax Service reps engage in key discussions on financial crime PHOTO
Representatives from the Azerbaijani State Tax Service have participated in a meeting of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Tax (Financial) Investigations from CIS member states in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The issues related to economic security and the fight against tax crimes were discussed. Azerbaijan was represented at the event by officials from the Main Department for Preliminary Investigation of Tax Crimes, namely, Kanan Guliyev, Rovshan Abdullayev, and Jamil Aliyev, Caliber.Az reports.
Deputy Secretary-General of the CIS Nurlan Seitimov delivered a report on initiatives aimed at enhancing economic security and tools for rapid response to violations in the financial sector, as well as addressing transnational economic crimes.
Experts at the meeting emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation among tax investigation agencies, improving analytical capabilities, and sharing best practices among CIS member states.
