Azerbaijan sends another batch of humanitarian aid to quake-hit Türkiye
The Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund, which operates under the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, has sent humanitarian aid to Kahramanmarash province in Türkiye to assist the victims of the earthquake that occurred in February 2023, due to the cold weather.
The State Committee on Work with Diaspora told Report that the Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund sent two heavy trucks carrying 6,200 blankets, 175 air conditioners, 1,500 heaters, and 1,000 cookers to the Regional Centre of the Emergency and Disaster Agency (AFAD) of Kahramanmarash.
It should be noted that the Azerbaijani government supported the Azerbaijani Diaspora Support Fund, along with the Federation of Turkish-Azerbaijani Associations, in providing food aid to more than 2,600 families affected by the earthquake in Kahramanmarash in April 2023.
Additionally, before the start of the new school year in August, humanitarian aid was sent in the form of 3,000 sets of school supplies to support pupils who will be going to 1st grade in Khatai and surrounding regions.
