Azerbaijan sends next rescuer team to quake-hit Türkiye UPDATED
The next rescue emergency response team of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived in Türkiye to eliminate the consequences of a strong earthquake in Turkey and support search and rescue operations in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev.
As Caliber.Az was informed by the press service of the ministry, the emergency response rescue forces will start search and rescue operations in the next few hours.

Another team of Azerbaijan rescuers has been sent to Türkiye.
Under President Ilham Aliyev's instruction, 227 people from the Emergencies Ministry's operative response group were dispatched to the brotherly country to alleviate the effects of the strong earthquake in the Republic of Türkiye and to assist in search and rescue operations, the Emergencies Ministry's press service told Caliber.Az.
The group includes employees of the Emergencies Ministry's State Fire Service and relevant personnel of the Special Risk Rescue Service.
The plane, which will carry the forces for search and rescue operations to the brotherly country, flew from Heydar Aliyev International Airport to the Turkish city of Adana.
To recall, on behalf of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, seven planes and one car convoy have been sent from Azerbaijan to Türkiye since February 6 to the present.
The first plane took off at 13:25 on February 6 and delivered 168 emergency workers to the disaster zone.
The second plane took off at 17:25 on February 6, with 233 Emergencies Ministry employees and rescue equipment on board.
The third plane took off at 20:50 on February 6 and delivered 21 emergency workers and rescue equipment to Türkiye.
The fourth plane took off at 09:40 on February 7 with 41 medical workers and four containers of a mobile field hospital.
The fifth plane took off at 14:00 on February 7 with three containers for the field hospital and cargo for the Emergencies Ministry personnel.
The sixth plane took off at 01:00 on February 8 with four emergency workers, and food and humanitarian aid.
The seventh plane was sent at 09:46 on February 8, carrying 229 Emergencies Ministry personnel, rescue supplies and means of support for the ministry personnel.
A convoy of 14 trucks, sent at 01:00 on February 8 will deliver to Türkiye 29 personnel, four field kitchens, humanitarian aid and supplies for the Emergencies Ministry personnel.
From the day of the earthquake to the present, the Emergencies Ministry has sent 725 people to Türkiye, including 34 doctors and seven technical workers from the medical staff. In addition to the rescue personnel and medical personnel, emergency rescue equipment, generators, pumping stations, cars, as well as modular field hospitals, medical equipment, medicines, first aid kits, tents, bedding, and other items were sent as humanitarian aid.

In accordance with the instructions of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Emergencies Ministry on February 8 the next rescue team to Türkiye to eliminate the consequences of the strong earthquake and support search and rescue operations.
The announcement came from the State Fire Service of the Emergencies Ministry, Major General of the Internal Service Fizuli Asadov, Report informs.
According to him, the personnel of 228 rescuers are provided with the necessary funds for search and rescue operations and there are no time restrictions in connection with their stay in Türkiye.
To recap, the group of Azerbaijani rescuers earlier dispatched to Türkiye carried out on February 7 rescue operations in Kahramanmaras province, which was seriously damaged by the earthquake, Azertag reports.
As a result of the preliminary operations, one person's body was removed from the rubble and handed over to the authorities.
