Azerbaijan sets up National Defence University
The National Defence University has been established in Azerbaijan to improve the military education management within the measures aimed at bringing the army in line with the standards of the Turkish Armed Forces.
The former Military Academy of the Armed Forces, the Azerbaijan Higher Military School named after Heydar Aliyev and other special educational institutions will operate under the newly created National Defence University, the Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
It will consist of the Military Research Institute, Military Administration Institute, the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the training and educational centre of the Azerbaijani army, the military lyceum named after Heydar Aliyev, the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski and the Military Medical Faculty of the Medical University.
Science and military education are successfully developing in the Azerbaijani army within the ongoing structural reforms.
