Azerbaijan showcases tourism at OTM Mumbai 2025 to boost regional travel interest
The Azerbaijan Tourism Board is taking part in the OTM Mumbai 2025 exhibition, which is being held in Mumbai, India, as part of the Asia-Pacific region's tourism event.
The event includes B2B meetings aimed at promoting Azerbaijan’s tourism, with representatives from 22 tourism companies in attendance, alongside Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani State Tourism Agency.
At the national booth, visitors are provided with information about Azerbaijan's history and culture, winter tourism, ski resorts, health and eco-tourism, and other travel opportunities.
During the exhibition's panel discussion, Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board Javanshir Bayramov presented information on the country's tourism development strategy. In 2024, Azerbaijan welcomed 243,589 tourists from India, doubling the number of visitors from 2023.
Earlier, Azerbaijan's tourism potential was also showcased at the FITUR exhibition in Spain's capital Madrid. Alongside the State Tourism Agency, Azerbaijan was represented by the Tourism Board and eight local partners.
The exhibition provided information about Azerbaijan's districts, national cuisine, and direct flight routes. Visitors could explore Azerbaijan’s tourism products, sample traditional sweets, and taste local wine. The exhibition also featured B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Customer) meetings.
