Azerbaijan and Slovakia have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation between their law enforcement agencies, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry said on July 14.
The agreement was signed in the city of Shusha by Azerbaijan's Interior Minister, Colonel General Vilayat Eyvazov, and Slovakia's Interior Minister, Matúš Šutaj Eštok.

During their meeting, the ministers reviewed the current state of cooperation between their respective ministries and discussed opportunities to expand bilateral ties.

Eyvazov briefed the Slovak delegation on the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry's main areas of responsibility and the country's crime situation. The talks focused on enhancing joint efforts to combat transnational organised crime, illicit drug and arms trafficking, human trafficking, illegal migration and cybercrime.
Šutaj Eštok thanked the Azerbaijani authorities for their hospitality and reaffirmed Slovakia's interest in deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of law enforcement.
