Azerbaijan to bury remains of five people previously listed as missing
The remains of five people previously considered missing will be buried in Azerbaijan on August 21 after being recovered during excavation work in liberated territories, the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Citizens said.
According to the commission, the remains were identified and burial ceremonies will be held in several districts across the country, Caliber.Az reports.
Jumshud Mammadov, a civilian, will be buried in the Martyrs’ Alley in Lachin.
Four others — Sardar Ismayilov, Vagif Magharramov, Murshid Narimanov and Akif Gurbanov — served in Azerbaijan’s armed forces. Ismayilov will be buried in Astanli village, Neftchala district; Magharramov in the Martyrs’ Alley in Neftchala; Narimanov in Mezreli village, Imishli district; and Gurbanov in the Martyrs’ Alley in Sulutapa, Binagadi district.
