Azerbaijan to organise national park tours during COP29
In preparation for COP29, Azerbaijan is gearing up to offer guided tours of its national parks to visiting tourists.
Firudin Aliyev, the Head of the Biodiversity Protection Service, confirmed that extensive preparations are already in progress across various national parks in the country, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
"During COP29, tourists will have the unique opportunity to explore national parks such as Absheron, Shirvan, and others," Aliyev noted.
He highlighted that new tourist routes have been carefully mapped out to ensure an enriching experience for both local citizens and international visitors.
The initiative aims to showcase Azerbaijan's rich biodiversity and natural beauty to a global audience gathered for the climate-focused conference. Aliyev expressed optimism that these tours will enable participants to witness captivating events and learn about the unique ecosystems within these protected areas.
