Azerbaijan, Türkiye deepen UNESCO cooperation in cultural, heritage areas PHOTO
Representatives from Azerbaijan and Türkiye have engaged in discussions regarding the strengthening of bilateral cooperation within the framework of UNESCO.
The meeting took place in Ankara, where a delegation from Azerbaijan, including Seymur Fataliyev, Secretary General of the National Commission of Azerbaijan for UNESCO, Islam Guliyev, Secretary at the Azerbaijani Embassy in Ankara, and Mustafa Shabanov, Second Secretary of the Azerbaijani Commission for UNESCO, visited Öcal Oğuz, President of the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The visit, which also saw the participation of key officials from Türkiye’s UNESCO commission, including Ozge Züleyha Omeroğlu, Assistant Secretary General, Sector Specialist Cansu Türk, and Professor Bilge Tüzel Ergin, focused on several critical areas of mutual interest.
Topics discussed included UNESCO’s anniversary programs, the Memory of the World Program, and potential future collaboration in the fields of cultural and intangible heritage.
