Azerbaijan, Türkiye exchange insights on countering fake news

Representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA Agency) of Azerbaijan visited the Disinformation Combat Center of the Public Relations Department of the Presidency of Türkiye.

During the visit, the Center’s coordinator, Deniz Demir, provided a detailed overview of its activities, institutional structure, ongoing projects, and approaches used in combating disinformation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the press service of the Agency.

It was noted that the Center conducts systematic work aimed at the prompt identification, analysis, and prevention of the spread of fake and manipulative content in today’s information environment.

During the bilateral meeting, the parties exchanged views on current challenges in countering disinformation, international experiences in this field, and effective mechanisms. Issues of ensuring information security and creating a reliable digital media environment were also discussed.
