Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen media cooperation with joint platform Photo
Azerbaijan Media Development Agency (MEDIA) Executive Director Ahmad Ismayilov and Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, held high-level talks on expanding strategic media partnerships during the Stratcom Summit 26 conference in Istanbul.
According to a statement from the Azerbaijan Media Development Agency, the discussions focused on enhancing joint efforts to counter disinformation and respond to the growing influence of fake or manipulative content in the global information space. Both sides stressed the need for closer coordination between state bodies to address these challenges, Caliber.Az reports.
Following the meeting, the two parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a Joint Working Commission and committees under the Turkish-Azerbaijani Media Platform.
The agreement aims to deepen institutional cooperation, improve mechanisms for joint initiatives, and strengthen coordination between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the media sector.
