Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen military cooperation with new security accord PHOTO
Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and his Turkish counterpart Yaşar Güler have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening mutual military security during the 17th International Defence Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) in Istanbul.
The meeting focused on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in military affairs, military-technical collaboration, and military education. Both ministers emphasised the significant role of IDEF 2025 in enhancing strategic ties between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports per the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
In addition, the discussions included an in-depth exchange of views on regional security and other shared interests. The meeting concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at strengthening mutual military security.
