Azerbaijan, Serbia reaffirm commitment to strategic partnership PHOTO
Azerbaijan and Serbia have reaffirmed their allegiance to the strategic partnership, a commitment made during a meeting in Belgrade between Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Serbia Tahir Taghizadeh and Serbian Foreign Ministry Secretary General Dušan Kozarev.
The Serbian Foreign Ministry said during the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for further developing bilateral relations and strengthening cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.
The sides reaffirmed the high level of mutual trust and respect between the two countries, as well as their commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership.
The meeting also addressed current global and regional issues, opportunities to increase contacts between officials, and ways to strengthen cooperation between the diplomatic academies of the two countries’ foreign ministries.
Kozarev thanked Azerbaijan for its consistent support for preserving Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in accordance with international law and the UN Charter.
The sides also welcomed the launch of a direct Air Serbia flight between Belgrade and Baku this year, noting that the new route creates additional opportunities for strengthening ties between the two countries.
