Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates signed a Memorandum of Understanding to deepen cooperation and establish fraternal relations between the two countries.
The agreement was finalised on February 11 during a visit by a UAE delegation led by Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport of Abu Dhabi, who met with Eldar Azizov, head of the Baku City Executive Authority, Caliber.Az reports.

Azizov highlighted the strong, friendly, and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries.
“All of this lays the foundation for a new phase of successful cooperation between Baku and Abu Dhabi. Thanks to President Ilham Aliyev’s policies, Baku has reached a qualitatively new level, and this progress continues successfully,” he stated.
Azizov also noted that awarding President Ilham Aliyev the prestigious “Zayed Award for Human Fraternity” during his visit to the UAE on February 4 recognised the president’s successful policies.
In his turn, Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa emphasised the longstanding friendship between the two countries, praised Baku’s rapid development and efficient city administration, and expressed hope that both nations will learn from each other.

The visit concluded with Eldar Azizov presenting Al Shorafa the Arabic edition of "The History of the Patriotic War – the Personality Factor," celebrating Azerbaijan’s historic victory and already published in 11 languages.
