Azerbaijan, Uniper explore opportunities in blue hydrogen technologies PHOTO
Azerbaijan is actively engaging with the German energy company Uniper to explore cooperative prospects and the implementation of joint projects in the burgeoning field of “blue hydrogen” technologies.
The discussions were held during a meeting between Azerbaijan's Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov and a Uniper delegation, the ministry told Caliber.Az.
During the meeting, the sides addressed various crucial topics, including gas supply, energy security, and the diversification of energy sources. They also explored energy efficiency, the transition to sustainable energy systems, and the establishment of green energy zones within Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani delegation shared insights into the country’s strategic initiatives for green energy, particularly in the context of upcoming global discussions at COP29.
A focal point of the talks was the development of production and export frameworks for green hydrogen. The parties emphasized the potential for collaboration in the production and storage of this clean energy source, as well as the expansion of blue hydrogen technologies.
Additionally, they recognized the value of exchanging experience and experiences in this rapidly evolving sector.
