Azerbaijan-Bahrain air connectivity strengthened through new partnership
Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), part of AZCON Holding, and Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, have signed a code-sharing agreement aimed at expanding their route networks and providing passengers with additional travel options.
AZAL press service told local media that the agreement is expected to create more opportunities for both leisure and business travel while further strengthening business, cultural, and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Bahrain.
Passengers will benefit from the ability to book flights in a single transaction and have their baggage checked through to their final destination, taking full advantage of the carriers’ extended route network.
AZAL Commercial Director Jamil Manizade commented on the partnership, saying:
“This agreement is an important milestone in the expansion of AZAL’s global route network. Cooperation with Gulf Air, a recognised air carrier in the Middle East, allows us to offer passengers more convenient travel options and also contributes to strengthening strategic ties between our countries.”
