Kazakhstan boosts grain exports to Azerbaijan more than hundredfold
Kazakhstan has increased its grain exports to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Iran, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Serik Jumanğarin said.
“The most notable growth in supplies between September 2024 and August 10, 2025, was recorded to Uzbekistan (+34% to 3.7 million tons), Tajikistan (+47% to 1.395 million tons), Afghanistan (+52% to 329,000 tons), and Kyrgyzstan (up 2.1 times to 262,000 tons),” Zhumangarin told a briefing on August 13, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kazakh media.
The deputy premier said exports to Iran increased 16-fold to 974,000 tons, while exports to Azerbaijan soared 121-fold to 728,000 tons
Overall, according to JSC “NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” (Kazakhstan Railways) grain and flour exports in grain equivalent reached 12.6 million tons during the reporting period—33% higher than in the same period last year (9.5 million tons).
