Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari reiterated his country’s unwavering commitment to deepening its brotherly relations with Azerbaijan, emphasizing the strong foundation of mutual trust, shared values, and common aspirations that underpin the bilateral partnership.

Speaking during a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, Khazar Farhadov, at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the Presidency’s official release highlighted President Zardari’s view of Azerbaijan as a pivotal partner in the region. He expressed a keen desire to broaden cooperation, particularly in the domains of trade, economic collaboration, and enhanced connectivity, Caliber.Az reports, citing Pakistani media.

President Zardari underscored that boosting trade ties, fostering investment partnerships, and improving regional connectivity would not only strengthen the bond between the two nations but also catalyze shared economic prosperity. He described these initiatives as essential to bringing Pakistan and Azerbaijan closer on the path to mutual growth.

Congratulating Ambassador Farhadov on Azerbaijan’s historic peace agreement with Armenia, the president asked him to convey his felicitations to President Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people. He hailed the accord as a transformative milestone that promises lasting peace, stability, and prosperity for the entire region. President Zardari reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast belief in resolving disputes through dialogue and peaceful means, grounded in mutual understanding and respect.
