Azerbaijan unveils denial reasons in accreditation for foreign journalists
The reasons why Azerbaijan will refuse accreditation of representatives of foreign media have been unveiled.
According to the "Rules for accreditation of representatives of foreign mass media in Azerbaijan" approved by the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (MFA), accreditation will be denied in case of submission of an incomplete package of documents, provision of false or inaccurate information, Report informs.
In addition, a foreign journalist will be denied permission to operate in Azerbaijan if he enters the country without complying with the requirements of the law, or if there is information about the illegal entry of a representative of a foreign media into Azerbaijan ever before.
Accreditation will also be denied if it turns out that the activities of a foreign media representative are directed against the territorial integrity, independence, interests and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
Foreign media representatives personally receive an accreditation card from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan. The accreditation card cannot be transferred to another person.
