Azerbaijani culture minister’s trip to Croatia sparks new opportunities for partnership

Azerbaijani Culture Minister Adil Karimli is on an official visit to Croatia to strengthen bilateral ties and boost collaboration between the business communities of both nations.

The visit seeks to expedite the implementation of agreements reached during the third session of the Azerbaijan-Croatia Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, held in Baku on March 13, 2024, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Beyond economic goals, the delegation is focused on deepening cultural relations, exchanging expertise, and exploring the export potential of Azerbaijani cultural and creative industry enterprises.

The representatives from Azerbaijani cultural businesses, working to forge new partnerships, are accompanying Karimli. Key highlights of the trip include a bilateral meeting between Karimli and Nina Obuljen Koržinek, Croatia’s Minister of Culture and Media, alongside a business forum where entrepreneurs from both nations will discuss potential joint projects. 

The Azerbaijani delegation will also tour the Croatian Audiovisual Centre to learn about Croatia’s film and media development and explore avenues for cooperation. Cultural events featuring performances by renowned Azerbaijani musicians are scheduled as part of the visit, underscoring the cultural exchange element of the mission.
