Azerbaijani appointed UN Mission head

Vugar Allahverdiyev, a program manager at the UN Counter-Terrorism Agency operating in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, has been promoted.

He was appointed head of the UN Regional Office for Southeast Asia in Manila (Philippines), Report informs.

Allahverdiyev began his career in 2006 in the Baku office of the United Nations Development Program, in 2014 he worked as an adviser to the Ambassador for Youth Affairs in the organisation's secretariat in New York, in 2021 he was appointed to the Agency for Combating Terrorism.
