Azerbaijani businessman abducted in Odesa, Ukraine Investigation underway / Photo / Video
A prominent Azerbaijani businessman, Vugar Osmanov, has been abducted in Odesa, Ukraine, sparking a police investigation.
Osmanov, 53, who is also a notable member of the local Azerbaijani diaspora, was last seen on April 16, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
According to local police, Osmanov was forcibly taken by unknown assailants as he left a restaurant. Surveillance footage from the scene revealed the abduction, showing the victim being shoved into a vehicle before being driven away to an undisclosed location.
Since the incident, there has been no communication from Osmanov, and local authorities have yet to provide any updates to his family. Despite ongoing investigations, the whereabouts of the businessman remain unknown.
Osmanov, a Ukrainian citizen, had been an active and influential figure in Odessa's Azerbaijani community, further heightening concerns over the motive behind his disappearance.
