Azerbaijani captain who died in attack near Odesa buried in hometown PHOTO

Captain Samad Nasrullayev, who was killed in an attack near Odesa, Ukraine, has been laid to rest in Azerbaijan’s Lankaran district.

The captain’s body was transported to his native settlement of Baligchilar in the Lankaran district and handed over to his family, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Following a farewell ceremony, he was buried at the local cemetery.

On July 14, the civilian cargo vessel Atlas Bey, owned by the Turkish company Okean Maritime, came under a drone attack off the coast of Odesa. Eleven members of the ship’s crew were Azerbaijani citizens.
