Azerbaijani commandos take oath as new elite unit graduates VIDEO
The Separate Combined Arms Army held a ceremony marking the latest graduation of the “Basic Commando Course.”
As reported by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defence, via Caliber.Az, the event opened with a moment of silence in tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, as well as to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the country.
The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was then performed.
During the ceremony, speakers congratulated the servicemen who successfully completed the course and underscored the significance of such training programs in improving the professional preparation of military personnel and strengthening the combat capabilities of units.
The newly graduated servicemen took the “Commando Oath,” after which the course’s top performer affixed the course emblem to a symbolic log.
The ceremony concluded with a solemn march by the personnel past the reviewing stand to the sound of a military march.
