Azerbaijani Culture Minister meets Qatari counterpart PHOTO

Minister of Culture Anar Kerimov met with Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar's Minister of Culture, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan to take part in the 9th Global Baku Forum on June 17.

The ministry told APA that the meeting touched on issues of the development of cultural ties between Qatar and Azerbaijan as well as projects to be implemented in this sphere.

Karimov emphasized the continuous development of cooperation between the two countries in various fields of culture.

The Qatari culture minister thanked him for the reception and expressed satisfaction with his participation in the 9th Global Baku Forum.

He underlined proposals to expand cultural ties between the two countries and proposed to develop a cooperation plan in this direction.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on holding Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Qatar, as well as translation and publication of books by Azerbaijani and Qatari poets.
