Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan sign cultural cooperation memorandum PHOTO

Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of culture, reflecting their intention to build closer and more structured collaboration in the cultural domain.

The document was signed during the first meeting of the Joint Commission on Culture of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan held in Baku, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The meeting was co-chaired by Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Minister of Culture Bakhodir Akhmedov and Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Farid Jafarov.

During the discussions, the sides exchanged views and reached agreements on a number of areas of cooperation, reaffirming their firm commitment to further strengthening partnership in the cultural sphere.

The first meeting of the Joint Commission took place as part of the Uzbekistan Culture Days in Baku, which are being held from December 14 to 20. The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Mirzo Ulugbek Secondary School in the city of Fuzuli.
