Envoy: Italy pledges stronger cultural ties with Azerbaijan PHOTO

Italy attaches great importance to cultural cooperation with Azerbaijan, Italian Ambassador Luca Di Gianfrancesco said during a meeting with Azerbaijani Culture Minister Adil Karimli.

The discussion highlighted the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries as a foundation for growing collaboration in areas ranging from the preservation and restoration of historical and cultural heritage to architecture and design, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Ministry of Culture.

Karimli also noted the active role of Italian companies in Azerbaijan’s territories recently liberated from occupation.

Di Gianfrancesco praised the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s contribution to restoring historical and religious sites in Italy and the Vatican, and stressed Italy’s commitment to deepening cultural links with Azerbaijan.

The meeting also touched on the activities of the Azerbaijani Cultural Centre in Italy and included an exchange of views on matters of mutual interest.
