Azerbaijani custom officers prevent drugs smuggling from Iran
Employees of the Southern Territorial Main Customs Administration prevented the illegal import of narcotic drugs into the country.
As reported by Caliber.Az with reference to the press service of the State Customs Committee, at the Bilasuvar customs post, an Azerbaijani citizen who arrived from the Islamic Republic of Iran was checked on an X-ray control and measuring device when passing customs control. Suspicious lines were found by on his foot and hand luggage.
During verbal interrogation, the citizen stated that there were no objects, drugs and psychotropic substances on him that could be hidden from customs control and subject to mandatory declaration by customs control.
During the inspection, 30 capsules of Gabapentin, 20 Alprazolam capsules, 30 Pregabalin capsules were found in the sports bag and 38 Methadone tablets marked ddp/M20 were found in 210 ml transparent plastic bag of 210 ml plastic container.
An investigation is being conducted into the fact.
