Azerbaijani delegation attends 19th Congress on Organ Transplantation in Ankara PHOTO

Azerbaijani medical specialists have participated in the 19th Congress of the Middle East Society for Organ Transplantation in Ankara, Türkiye.

The attendees included Rashad Sholan, an organ transplantation expert at Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health, head of the Scientific Research Center of the Military Medical Department of the State Security Service, chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Kidney Transplant Specialists Association, and Doctor of Medical Sciences, together with members of the Association, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

According to the Association, the organisation presented two scientific research papers on kidney transplantation at the congress.

Both studies were published in the congress proceedings of the Experimental and Clinical Transplantology journal, which is indexed in the Web of Science database.

The research works drew the interest of Professor Nadey Hakim, President of The Transplantation Society, as well as prominent transplantologist Professor Gokhan Moray.

The scientific trip was carried out at the invitation of Professor Mehmet Haberal, Rector of Başkent University.
