Azerbaijani diocese of Russian Orthodox Church collecting humanitarian aid for quake-hit Türkiye PHOTO

The Diocese of Baku and Azerbaijan of the Russian Orthodox Church has joined humanitarian relief efforts to help Türkiye’s earthquake victims.

The Baku diocesan administration purchased sets of warm blankets and handed them over to a collection point for humanitarian aid, Caliber.Az informs, citing the diocese’s statement.

In addition, the Charity and Social Service Department of the Archdiocese of Baku and Azerbaijan also began collecting humanitarian aid for those affected by the strong earthquake that hit Türkiye on February 6.

The collection point is the Church of the Archangel Michael in Baku (38 Zargarpalan Street). Relief will be accepted until February 15. The aid is accepted from 9 am to 5 pm local time.
