Azerbaijani Interior Ministry issues statement on mine explosion in Fuzuli
The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry has issued a statement in connection with those killed in a mine explosion in the liberated Fuzuli district.
Despite the numerous warnings of citizens about mines and other explosives in the liberated territories, some people still enter these territories bypassing the checkpoints, the Head of the press service of the Interior Ministry, police colonel Ehsan Zahidov said in response to APA's request.
“Unfortunately, Amid Asadov from Hajitapa village of the Masalli district and Cherkaz Guluzade from Aghakhanly village of the Fuzuli district illegally crossed the territory of the Upper Dilagarda village of the Fuzuli district, liberated from occupation, on September 30 at about 21:00 (GMT+4). They died as a result of an explosion of the mine, previously planted by the Armenian armed forces,” the message said.
“Officers of the Fuzuli District Police Department immediately arrived at the scene. The bodies were sent to a forensic medical department. An investigation is currently underway,” the message said.
