Azerbaijani judokas bring nine medals home from Portugal PHOTO

Azerbaijani judokas, who successfully performed at the European Junior Championship, returned home from Portugal late in the night on June 27.

Report informs that they were met by relatives, representatives of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, the public, and the media at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Azerbaijani athletes won 9 (6-0-3) medals and topped the team standings at the European tournament in Portuguese Odivela.

Magomed Mamishov (50 kg), Mirkhalig Iskandarov (55 kg), Vusala Hajiyeva (48 kg), Magomed Musaev (60 kg), Abil Yusubov (66 kg), and Ramazan Ahmadov (+90 kg) became champions, while Ahmad Rustamov (50 kg), Khadija Gadashova (52 kg), and Mehdi Jafarov (66 kg) bagged bronze medals.
