Mercedes moves up to second in constructors’ standings after F1 Azerbaijan GP
The Mercedes team, competing in the Formula 1 World Championship, moved up to second place in the Constructors’ Championship following the recently concluded Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.
According to Report, the team’s British driver finished in second place, while his Italian teammate, Kimi Antonelli, took fourth.
As a result, Mercedes increased its points tally to 290, overtaking Ferrari, which had 286 points. McLaren remains the sole leader with 623 points.
In the Drivers’ Championship, McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, who was involved in an accident during the main race in Baku, continues to lead with 324 points. His teammate Lando Norris has accumulated 299 points, while the winner of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Max Verstappen of Red Bull, sits in third place with 255 points.
