Baku’s Formula 1 race set to make headlines across the globe Around 300 journalists expected to arrive
This year’s Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be covered by nearly 300 representatives from both local and international media outlets.
According to Caliber.Az, the list includes major global organisations such as Netflix, Reuters, Agence France-Presse, Sky Sports, Motorsport.com, Associated Press, CANAL+, ESPN Disney Latin, and several others.
The race promoter, Baku City Circuit Operating Company, has prepared a modern media centre to accommodate journalists. Designed for 450 people, the centre is equipped with advanced technical facilities to ensure a comfortable and efficient working environment. It includes an accreditation service, designated workstations, technical support for live broadcasts, and a fully equipped press conference room.
The media centre fully meets the high international standards of the International Automobile Federation (FIA) and is in line with the best practices of leading global sporting events.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has steadily grown into one of the most anticipated races on the Formula 1 calendar. In 2024 alone, the event drew an audience of 86 million viewers through live broadcasts, while a total of over 3.9 billion people engaged with the Baku race across various platforms.
The unique atmosphere of the Baku City Circuit, combined with intense sporting competition and strong media presence, is expected to make the 2025 edition a globally significant sporting event.
The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix will take place on September 19-21.
