Ronaldinho presented as Ravenna player in Italian serie C

Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho has been officially presented as a player for Ravenna, who compete in Italy’s third-tier Serie C, despite having retired from professional football years ago.

The 46-year-old Ballon d’Or winner and World Cup champion signed a contract with Ravenna in June and has also become an investor in the club. The financial details of his investment have not been disclosed, foreign media reports. 

Ravenna president Ignazio Cipriani said Ronaldinho is certain to make at least one Serie C appearance for the club.

Ronaldinho last played professional football in September 2015 and officially announced his retirement in 2018.
