Azerbaijan’s Qarabağ part ways with Zoubir after eight years

Azerbaijani football club Qarabağ have parted ways with French midfielder Abdellah Zoubir.

Zoubir, who joined the Aghdam-based club in the summer of 2018, had his contract terminated by mutual consent, taking into account his wishes and his long-standing contributions to the club, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

During his time with the club, Zoubir made 368 appearances and scored 78 goals. He won the Azerbaijan Premier League title six times and the Azerbaijan Cup twice with the club.

Zoubir also represented Qarabağ once in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League, four times in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League and once in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League. He also featured in playoff rounds for a place in the Champions League and Conference League round of 16, as well as in the Europa League round of 16.
